About the foundation
I come from a small village near Cheb. After three years at the eight-year grammar school in Cheb, I was admitted to the Open Gate College near Prague, where I successfully completed my secondary education with the IB International Baccalaureate. A one-month summer course in Civic Leadership at Johns Hopkins University in the USA inspired me to study social sciences, so after graduation I went on a scholarship to study the characteristically British triple major of Philosophy, Politics and Economics at the University of York. While at York, in addition to my studies, I also served as the editorial director of the student science magazine VOX, worked as an analyst for an investment fund managing part of the university's capital, and represented my college in basketball. During the holidays, I completed several economics-focused internships in the civil service in Prague and Brussels. Also thanks to a scholarship from Mr and Mrs Krsek, I am now studying for an MSc Economics and Philosophy at the London School of Economics. My research focuses on studying the frictions between economic incentives and ethical imperatives.
